Towards the end of the internship this year, a position opened up unexpectedly within the organization with a higher wage and better work hours
I left my full time job to participate in the internship beginning last year. I was able to work part time until my course ended, but following that I wasn't sure what would happen with my employment. I felt very depleted in my work. Towards the end of the internship this year, a position opened up unexpectedly within the organization with a higher wage and better work hours (I had been doing shift work since 2011). It was in administration - which I have no work experience in. I applied for the job and had an interview the day before my last day of internship. They offered me the position that afternoon despite having no experience. I wrote my final exam on Thursday, signed my paperwork on Friday, and began my new role on Monday. Everything unfolded so easily. Not only did they give me enough time off so that I could join the team in Guatemala, but the position has since become permanent with benefits. I have a renewed sense of purpose at work where before I felt dry, exhausted and frustrated. I believe the lord opened this door for me so that I could continue persevering and being a light in a tough environment. He made everything so smooth - so I'm convinced it's because I have a part to play according to his plans in my workplace.
