Lakemount Kids

Kids Ministry Covid Protocol

We are thrilled to be gathering in-person for kids' ministry.  Below is an explanation of procedures that have been implemented to ensure the safety of your children and families.  Please familiarize yourself with the following requirements.  By sending your child to Lakemount Kids programs you are accepting these terms.

Drop Off

We ask that families park at the West Side of the building and enter through the West Hall doors. A leader will be there to greet you and hand you your child(ren)'s name tag for the morning. Once you drop your children off in their classrooms, you can head to the lobby to get yourself checked in.

Pick Up Protocol

Just a reminder that you must show your parent pick up tag when you pick up your child from his/her class.

Please know we will do our best to maintain physical distancing parameters in our Kids ministry, but due to the nature of childhood interactions, this may be beyond our control.

General Guidelines

  • It is the responsibility of the parents and caregivers to assess their children prior to arriving to church.  Children should show no symptoms within 24 hours of arriving to church.
  • As per Niagara Region Public Health, children ages 5 and up are required to wear a mask at church.
  • We reserve the right to ask you to remove your child from the program until they are symptom free.
  • Lakemount Kids Leaders will also assess their own health prior to arriving at church.  Should they have shown any of the symptoms 24 hours prior to their scheduled Sunday, they will be asked not to attend church until they are symptom free.
  • Lakemount Leaders will be required to wear masks when serving as well as gloves when dispersing any pre-packaged snacks.

Here at Lakemount we want our kids to encounter the Presence of God in an age appropriate atmosphere. We believe that Jesus has plans and wants your kids to know Him, encounter Him and learn how to walk with Him.

On Sundays, our Grades 1 – 5 meet in the West Hall for a worship service, including games and activities that create community and build friendships, followed by Biblical teachings. We do this to help establish a solid foundation of faith and a love for the local church. Occasionally, they will worship with their parents in the sanctuary before being dismissed for Kids’ Church.

Our preschool, ages 0 – SK meet in the lower level where they build friendships, worship and learn about Jesus. We believe that these young ones encounter God’s Presence and build their lives on His Word.

All children (ages 0 – Grade 5) need to be checked in each week. Parents will receive a pick-up tag that matches the child’s tag. Parents present this tag at pick-up in order for the ministry workers to release the child.

Lakemount Kids Mid Week Program

On Wednesdays evenings at 6:30pm we run our Midweek Program, featuring engaging stories where we dive in and learn all about the people that God used in the Bible and how He can use us too! It always Includes wacky games, sports and crafts. Our drop off program is for ages 3 years old – Grade 5. Nursery is available for anyone attending our Deeper Adult Bible Study.

Lakemount’s ministry for people 60 years old and up.

At 60North we welcome the visions and dreams God has for us as we pursue Him and press on in our journey with Him. Our events are a great way to connect with others and share these hopes and dreams in order to encourage one another on!

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:23-24
